Samavesha is a group of artists and performers from around the globe. The concept of Samavesha is to unite in one time and space different art expressions and to create an occasion for both performer and audience to immerse themselves in that which is being created. The mimimum of art forms invoked in a typical performance is three, as we believe experience is best elicited by reaching out through as many of the senses and sense gates as possible. In this experientially-based expression of art, the classical definition of art form is extended beyond music, dance performance, visual art... to include expressions such as food, costumes, sacred adornments, or even everyday actions.

Samavesha is a mind-child of Laura Inserra, a Sicilian musician and composer, and a result of her many years of experience in multiple forms of art and performance around the world. Her vision is now the common vision of all the artists that are part of Samavesha: the performers and the audience itself are encouraged to discover and express that which is sacred in art, with the humble authenticity that we all hold inside ourselves, that we are all part of.
